We’re building a different kind of program — one where players are developed, families are supported, and everyone is bought into the process.
If you're looking for fast fixes or "pay-to-play" setups, we're not it.
If you're ready to invest in something real — your child's skills, mindset, and future — Hoop Generation is ready to invest back into you.
To raise our standards across the board, we’re making real upgrades to communication, structure, and accountability.
1. Stronger Communication System
Official WhatsApp groups for each team
Daily updates, motivational content, and reminders
Parent carpool chats
A read-only Announcements chat for key updates
Bi-weekly anonymous feedback survey
2. New Team Structure – Developmental vs. Competitive
We’re now separating teams to better match each athlete's skill level and goals.
🟢 Developmental Teams (All Skill Levels Welcome)
No cuts — space permitting
Focused on building fundamentals, confidence, and game IQ
Consistent minutes and growth mindset
Local-only training and tournaments
🔴 Competitive Teams (Tryouts + Cuts)
For advanced players ready for a faster pace
Focus on winning, leadership, and discipline
Higher accountability + more demanding practices
All players must earn and maintain their spot
All players will try out together, but placement is based on:
Skill level, hustle, coachability, and team needs.
3. Program Manager On Staff
We’ve hired a full-time Program Manager so our coaches can focus entirely on development.
They’ll handle:
Tournament and practice logistics
Attendance tracking + family follow-up
Weekend roster confirmation
Uniforms and schedule reminders
Parent communication (non-coaching questions)
4. Monthly Player Progress Reports
Tracks attendance, effort, and coach feedback
Optional Zoom call with a coach (booked via Calendly)
Short written report sent after each call
5. Intentional Team Meetings
Preseason Parent Meeting (expectations + commitment)
Preseason Player Meeting (goals + mindset)
Mid-Season Team Meeting (adjustments + morale)
6. Player of the Week Recognition
One standout player per team after each tournament
Announced in WhatsApp with a short write-up
All winners tracked for end-of-season awards

At Hoop Generation, we take roster building seriously. This season, we’re introducing a new structure to better support all levels of players: Competitive Teams and Developmental Teams.
Our tryout process is designed to place each athlete in the best-fit environment based on skill, effort, and mindset — whether that’s a high-intensity competitive squad or a growth-focused developmental team.
Tryout Details:
Boys and Girls will be evaluated separately throughout the full tryout process.
All players will be assessed across multiple categories:
Skill level, basketball IQ, athleticism, effort, attitude, and coachability.
Competitive Teams: Players must earn a roster spot. There will be cuts and limited spots available.
Developmental Teams: No cuts. These teams are open to all players who demonstrate commitment, respect, and a willingness to improve. Placement is based on space availability.
Roster invitations will be sent by June 5th, 2025.
Players must accept or decline their roster spot by June 7th, 2025.
If we don’t hear back by then, the spot will be offered to another player.
Final rosters will be confirmed and published by June 16th, 2025.
Important Notes:
Players may be placed on different teams based on skill level, team fit, and overall team needs — not just age group.
This structured timeline gives us time to thoroughly evaluate both new players and returning players from last season.
We will also be verifying which athletes are officially returning from our previous season to ensure roster clarity.
Our goal is to make roster decisions that set players up for development, challenge, and success — not just to fill spots.

Built for Families Who Are All In on Growth
At Hoop Generation, we’re not just selling practices — we’re building players.
When you join us, you’re investing in your child's future both on and off the court. We take that seriously, and we expect our families to be just as committed.
That's why we've created the Registration Protection Plan: real solutions for real life — while protecting the journey you're committing to.
1. Player Development Guarantee
We’re serious about delivering on our promises. If Hoop Generation can’t deliver a core part of the season (like canceled sessions due to unexpected issues), we will:
✅ Provide a full credit toward a future program of your choice.
2. 14-Day Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund window after registration. During this time, families can request a full refund — no questions asked.
Policy Details:
Refund requests must be made via email within 14 calendar days of registration.
Refunds may be reduced by any non-refundable expenses already incurred (such as uniform orders, tournament fees, etc.).
After 14 days, all sales are final.
Additional Notes:
If the season has started or the player has participated in practices/events, eligibility for a refund may be reduced or forfeited depending on costs already incurred.
Outside of the 14-day window, refunds are not part of our model. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
3. No-Risk Transfer Option
Life happens. Plans change. We get it. If needed, you can:
✅ Transfer your registration to a future season, a different program, or even to another eligible athlete — with no extra fees.
4. Injury Protection
If an injury prevents your athlete from participating:
✅ We’ll roll over any unused sessions into a future season at no extra charge.
Cash refunds are not offered for injuries, but we will work with you to keep your athlete’s progress on track.
5. Satisfaction Commitment
We believe in real, visible results.
If your athlete completes the full season and does not show growth in at least one of these areas:
Basketball IQ
Competitive Mindset
Mental Toughness
Leadership
Emotional Resilience
Playmaking Ability
✅ Our coaching staff will personally invest more time into their development with extra training sessions, or camp credits — at no additional cost. This will NOT be in the form of a refund if outside of the 14-day window.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: What is Hoop Generation?
A: Hoop Generation is a year-round youth basketball program that welcomes all skill levels. We offer select teams, personal training, camps, and mentorship — helping players from all backgrounds grow as athletes and leaders, on and off the court.
Q: Where are practices held?
A: We primarily train at Austin Sports Center Central and St. Edward’s University.
Q: Where are games played?
A:
Local Tournament Teams compete in the Austin area at various gyms.
Competitive Teams will compete in tournaments in Austin and may travel out of the city depending on the season.
Q: Do all kids make a team?
A: Yes — we offer multiple team levels to make sure every player finds the right fit:
Developmental Teams accept all committed players (pending space).
Competitive Teams require tryouts and roster spots are limited.
If a player isn’t quite ready for games, they may be placed on a practice-only track with a pathway to earn a spot mid-season.
Q: When will I know my child’s game schedule?
A: Tournament schedules are typically released 2–7 days before the event by the tournament director. Changes can occur last minute due to team dropouts or venue shifts — which are outside of our control.
Q: How many games will my child play in a tournament?
A:
One-Day Tournaments include 3 guaranteed games in pool play.
Two-Day Tournaments include 3 pool games and up to 2 additional bracket games if the team advances.
Championship format = win or go home.
Q: Do parents cover their own travel expenses?
A: Yes, families are responsible for travel costs.
However, if travel presents a financial hardship, we do offer scholarship options and assistance to ensure every athlete can compete.
Q: How will I know if my child made a team?
A: All players will receive a text and email notification within 24 hours after tryouts with their roster status.
Q: How many players are on each team?
