At Hoop Generation, we take roster building seriously. Our tryout process is designed to evaluate every player carefully, ensure proper team placement, and build competitive, well-rounded teams for the season ahead.
Tryout Details:
Boys and Girls will be separated for the full duration of tryouts.
Players will be evaluated across multiple categories, including skill level, basketball IQ, athleticism, attitude, and coachability.
Roster invitations will be sent by June 5th, 2025.
Players must accept or decline their roster spot by June 7th, 2025. If we dont hear from a player by then, the player will not be considered to be on the roster.
Final rosters will be confirmed and published by June 16th, 2025.
Important Notes:
Players may be placed on different teams based on skill level, team fit, and overall team needs — not just age group.
This structured timeline gives us time to thoroughly evaluate both new players and returning players from last season.
We will also be verifying which athletes are officially returning from our previous season to ensure roster clarity.
Our goal is to make roster decisions that set players up for development, challenge, and success — not just to fill spots.
We’re building a different kind of program — one where players are developed, families are supported, and everyone is bought into the process.
If you're looking for fast fixes or "pay-to-play" setups, we're not it.
If you're ready to invest in something real — your child's skills, mindset, and future — Hoop Generation is ready to invest back into you.

Built for Families Who Are All In on Growth
At Hoop Generation, we’re not just selling practices — we’re building players.
When you join us, you’re investing in your child's future both on and off the court. We take that seriously, and we expect our families to be just as committed.
That's why we've created the Registration Protection Plan: real solutions for real life — while protecting the journey you're committing to.
1. Player Development Guarantee
We’re serious about delivering on our promises. If Hoop Generation can’t deliver a core part of the season (like canceled sessions due to unexpected issues), we will:
✅ Provide a full credit toward a future program of your choice.
2. 14-Day Refund Policy
We offer a 14-day refund window after registration. During this time, families can request a full refund — no questions asked.
Policy Details:
Refund requests must be made via email within 14 calendar days of registration.
Refunds may be reduced by any non-refundable expenses already incurred (such as uniform orders, tournament fees, etc.).
After 14 days, all sales are final.
Additional Notes:
If the season has started or the player has participated in practices/events, eligibility for a refund may be reduced or forfeited depending on costs already incurred.
Outside of the 14-day window, refunds are not part of our model. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
3. No-Risk Transfer Option
Life happens. Plans change. We get it. If needed, you can:
✅ Transfer your registration to a future season, a different program, or even to another eligible athlete — with no extra fees.
4. Injury Protection
If an injury prevents your athlete from participating:
✅ We’ll roll over any unused sessions into a future season at no extra charge.
Cash refunds are not offered for injuries, but we will work with you to keep your athlete’s progress on track.
5. Satisfaction Commitment
We believe in real, visible results.
If your athlete completes the full season and does not show growth in at least one of these areas:
Basketball IQ
Competitive Mindset
Mental Toughness
Leadership
Emotional Resilience
Playmaking Ability
✅ Our coaching staff will personally invest more time into their development with extra training sessions, or camp credits — at no additional cost. This will NOT be in the form of a refund if outside of the 14-day window.
Q - WHAT IS HOOP GENERATION?
A - We are a full all skill levels, youth basketball organization with select teams, camps, personal training, and mentorship that provides players from all backgrounds with the opportunity to grow on and off the court.
Q - WHERE ARE PRACTICES
A: Austin Sports Center Central and St. Edwards University
Q- WHERE ARE GAMES?
A: Our Local tournament teams play only in the Austin area at various gyms, however our Travel Tournament teams travel out of the city and out of the state.
Q: DO ALL KIDS MAKE A TEAM?
A: Technically, yes! We offer four different skill levels for our teams, ensuring every player can find a suitable fit. If a player's skills don't align with our team requirements, they may initially be placed as a practice player, with the opportunity to join a team once they meet the necessary criteria
Q: When will I know what day/time of my child's games?
A: The tournament schedule is typically posted 1 week to 3 days before the event by the director. Minor changes do occur due to team withdrawals, or other issues that have nothing to do with the organization.
Q: How many games does my child play?
A: The tournaments we play in - will provide a minimum of 3 “pool” play games that are usually at back to back times (10am / 12pm / 2pm) on the same day. If it is a one day tournament then teams will be done after 3 games and a champion shall be crowned from the tournament. If it is a 2 day tournament then the team will enter a win or go home format to compete for the championship for a maximum for 5 games.
Q: Do the parents/cover their own travel expenses:
A: Yes. However, If your child can't afford to travel then we will have financial coverage options and arrangements for your child to be able to attend.
Q - HOW DO I KNOW IF I MADE A TEAM?
If you make a team we will notify you by text & email within 24 hours after the tryout.
Q - HOW MANY PLAYERS ARE ON EACH TEAM?
We carry NO MORE than 10 players on each team.
